Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis involving police officers, government officials, and community members. The study is supported by communication theory, particularly Negative Dominance Theory, to analyze how messages are constructed and influence public perception and behavior. The findings indicate that the communication policy is implemented through preventive, educative, and coordinative strategies, emphasizing persuasive, educative, and informative communication approaches. These strategies are delivered through direct interactions such as socialization, legal counseling, and community discussions, as well as through digital platforms like social media. The use of negative messages highlighting legal consequences, combined with positive messages promoting transparency and integrity, effectively increases public awareness and discourages corrupt behavior. Moreover, communication is carried out in a humanistic and participatory manner, fostering trust, openness, and collaboration between the police and the community. The effectiveness of this policy is supported by several factors, including leadership commitment, strong team coordination, adequate communication facilities, inter-agency collaboration, and increasing community participation. However, challenges such as limited infrastructure, varying levels of public awareness, and bureaucratic constraints still affect implementation. In conclusion, the communication policy of Sat Reskrim Polres Tapanuli Tengah significantly contributes to corruption prevention by strengthening public awareness, participation, and accountability. The integration of strategic communication and community engagement supports the development of a sustainable anti-corruption culture and enhances transparent and accountable governance.
2026-03-31T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Cuanda Mitra Perdana, Hasan Sazali, Fakhrur Rozi https://mail.siducat.org/index.php/dawuh/article/view/1911 Public Perception of The Instagram Account of PPL & KPM International 2025 in The Formation of The Image of STAIN Meulaboh 2026-04-03T18:59:54+07:00 Zulpina zulpina2004@gmail.com Heri Rahmatsyah Putra herirahmatsyahputra@staindirundeng.ac.id Mutia Tisa tia.arunmeukek@gmail.com
This study aims to analyze the role of the Instagram account @pplkpm_internasional_2025 in shaping public perception and the image of STAIN Teungku Dirundeng Meulaboh as an internationally-oriented Islamic university. This study is important because there has been no specific study that places students as non-professional communication actors in the management of social media for international programs in the PTKIN environment. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with digital observation techniques on 111 posts as the main unit of analysis during the period of January–October 2025, and in-depth interviews with seven informants consisting of account managers and followers as the main data sources. The results show that the consistency of posts, the use of international logos and slogans, and the dominance of educational and documentary content shape the public's perception that the account represents the institution's official program. Audience interactions, such as likes and comments, serve as social validation that reinforces the program's positive image. The main findings of this study indicate that interdisciplinary students, as non-professional communication actors, can effectively build the institution's image on social media without the direct involvement of the campus public relations unit. These findings expand the theoretical understanding of the formation of higher education institutions' images based on participatory digital communication. In practical terms, the results of this study imply that universities need to formulate guidelines for managing social media for international programs that strategically involve students.

Keywords: Digital Image, Public Perception, International Program
2026-03-31T17:29:27+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Zulpina, Heri Rahmatsyah Putra, Mutia Tisa https://mail.siducat.org/index.php/dawuh/article/view/1937 Semiotic Analysis of Islamic Communication in The Film "Ajarkan Aku Aceh" for Tourism Promotion 2026-04-01T22:50:07+07:00 Asmaunizar asmanizar400422305@uinsu.ac.id Abdurrahman abdurrahman@uinsu.ac.id Winda Kustiawan windakustiawan@uinsu.ac.id
This research analyzes the implementation of Islamic communication semiotics in the film "Ajarkan Aku Aceh" as a medium for promoting sharia-based tourism. Using a qualitative approach with Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis, the research examines the construction of denotative, connotative, and mythological meanings in the visual representation of Aceh's tourism. The results show that the film successfully integrated Islamic values with destination promotion strategies by transforming visual elements into symbols of spirituality and community hospitality. The construction of the "Serambi Mekkah" mythology creates a unique selling proposition that distinguishes Aceh from other destinations. The film constructs a holistic tourism paradigm that emphasizes educational, spiritual, and cultural dimensions, creating sacred geography and emotional connections with the audience. The findings reveal the potential of film as an effective contextual preaching instrument in the digital era, contributing theoretically to the development of an Islamic communication model for tourism marketing based on religious values.
2026-03-31T21:11:03+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Asmaunizar Dari, Abdurrahman, Winda Kustiawan https://mail.siducat.org/index.php/dawuh/article/view/1942 Peace Communication of The Aceh Party: Integration of Local Wisdom Based on Religious Values 2026-04-01T22:48:19+07:00 Kamaruddin Hasan kamaruddin4004223023@uinsu.ac.id Hasan Sazali hasansazali@uinsu.ac.id Mailin mailin@uinsu.ac.id
This study examines the peaceful communication practiced by the Aceh Party (PA) in integrating local wisdom grounded in religious values. Beyond its political role, PA acts as a mediator in promoting peace, reconciliation, social cohesion, and democratic consolidation in Aceh. The research focuses on PA’s communication strategies, both direct and media-mediated, in the eastern coastal region of Aceh. Adopting a descriptive qualitative approach with a constructivist-interpretive phenomenological paradigm, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, focus group discussions, and literature review. The study draws on the Qur’an and Hadith as meta-theoretical foundations, supported by theories on peaceful communication, conflict transformation, human communication, deliberative democracy, local wisdom, and social cohesion. Findings reveal that PA develops a narrative of peaceful communication rooted in traditions such as peumulia jamee, musyawarah Mukim, meuseraya, peusijuek, and peumat jaroe, reflecting dialogical, inclusive, responsive, and adaptive practices based on akhlak al-karimah, ukhuwah, amar ma’ruf nahi munkar, and rahmatan lil ‘alamin. Local wisdom functions both as a conflict-resolution mechanism and a collective educational medium. Challenges such as pragmatism, symbolism, exclusivism, and patronage may distance PA from Islamic-based local wisdom. The study proposes an integrative model of peace communication, offering insights for sustainable, inclusive peace and political stability.
2026-04-01T22:42:57+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Kamaruddin Hasan, Hasan Sazali, Mailin https://mail.siducat.org/index.php/dawuh/article/view/1947 Communication Strategy of Wali Nanggroe in Safeguarding Peace in Aceh 2026-04-03T20:38:08+07:00 Bustami bustami4004223028@uinsu.ac.id Lahmuddin lahmudinlubis@uinsu.ac.id Zainun zainun@uinsu.ac.id Hasrat Efendi Samosir hasratefendisamosir@uinsu.ac.id
The objective of this study is to analyze the communication strategies implemented by the Wali Nanggroe in safeguarding peace, governing Aceh, fostering media relations, as well as identifying the challenges encountered. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, aiming to systematically and comprehensively portray a social phenomenon within its natural context. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that the communication strategy of the Wali Nanggroe in safeguarding peace in Aceh is carried out through two main models: high-level communication with national and international figures to ensure the implementation of the peace agreement or the Helsinki MoU and the Law on the Governing of Aceh (LoGA), as well as direct communication with the community, former combatants, traditional leaders, and religious scholars to gather aspirations, foster collective awareness, and detect potential conflicts at an early stage. In addition, a cultural approach is employed through the empowerment of traditional institutions in Aceh.
2026-04-03T19:12:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Bustami, Lahmuddin, Zainun https://mail.siducat.org/index.php/dawuh/article/view/1945 Transformation of Islamic Islamic Preaching in the Digital Era: a Comparative Study of the Salaf Al-Basyariyah Islamic Boarding School in Madiun and the Modern Islamic Boarding School in Nurul Jadid in Probolinggo 2026-04-07T22:09:16+07:00 Luthfi Ulfa Ni’amah luthfiulfaniamah15@gmail.com Clara Sinta Pratiwi clara_sinta@uinsatu.ac.id
This study explores the transformation of Islamic boarding school da'wah in the digital era implemented by two types of Islamic boarding schools, namely Al-Basyariyah Islamic boarding school in Madiun as a representative of Salaf Islamic boarding schools and Nurul Jadid Islamic boarding school in Probolinggo as a representative of modern Islamic boarding schools. Al-Basyariyah Islamic boarding school, despite having limited facilities and a simple team, has still begun to adapt to social media as a medium for da'wah, especially in sharing daily activities. Likewise, Nurul Jadid Islamic boarding school utilizes complete equipment and a structured content management team, with a focus on informative posts about Islamic da'wah. The results of the study show that the transformation of Islamic boarding school da'wah in the digital era is carried out through digital activism through social media such as websites, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. The impacts resulting from digital activism as a form of da'wah transformation in the digital era are expanding the reach of da'wah, creating a positive image of Islamic boarding schools because they can conduct da'wah that is relevant to current developments, and can shape students who have skills in the field of multimedia.
2026-04-07T22:09:16+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Luthfi Ulfa Ni’amah, Clara Sinta Pratiwi
